Beechworth Festival

of Change

1–4 April 2019

Time for a Change, a Festival of Change!

We warmly invite people and organisations interested in creating a fair, just and sustainable future to join us in Beechworth, 1–4 April 2019, for an inspiring week making connections, generating ideas and building the skills to create change.

Building skills,

     building networks

The Beechworth Festival of Change is a not-for-profit community-driven event focused on building the skills, networks and know-how to create positive social and environmental change.

It’s a week-long fiesta of events, creativity, conversations and connections focused on building the skills, networks, energy and ideas you need to generate change.

Why have a Festival of Change?

We all want to be part of a fair, just and compassionate society. We all want to live and thrive on a sustainable planet and ensure future generations are free to do the same. People from all walks of life are deeply frustrated that inaction on the most urgent issues is pulling us away from our shared vision of a fair, just and sustainable world.

It's clear we need to take responsibility for our own futures; we need to back ourselves and drive change towards the values we want to prevail. There is no they or them that ought to do something, just us, all of us, and by working together we can convert apathy to empathy, and inertia to action to create a better world.

The Beechworth Festival of Change will focus on two key ingredients for change making: building practical change-making skills and building networks of change makers. You will leave the Festival inspired, skilled and connected ready to make the change you want to see in your world.
